Aquí hay los proyectos que ya estamos sosteniendo en el Enclave Caracol;

Tijuana Comida No Bombas (Lunes-Jueves)

Espacio para Talleres y Eventos (Danza, Música, Arte, Educación)

Café Vegetariana

Taller de Serigrafía

Cuarto Oscuro para Fotografía

Cuarto de Ensayo para Bandas

Biblioteca de Fanzines y Literatura Radical

Fnb2

In 2012, volunteers began Tijuana Food Not Bombs – a public free, vegan meal made of food deemed “unsellable” that would otherwise go to waste – in protest of the borders and militarization that have caused mass hunger, migration, and deportation, and as an act of solidarity with those in need of a plate of food.

In the last year, volunteers with Comida No Bombas have opened a social center, Enclave Caracol, in downtown Tijuana. It’s hoped that with this commercial space, we can better provide food to those in need, and help raise awareness regarding hunger, food waste, and what can be done as a community. This space also is an important resource in addressing other issues in Tijuana, such as the lack of safe spaces for women and queer folks, the absence of all-ages venues, and the inaccessibility of spaces for education, art, and community projects.

Here’s what’s happening so far in the building;

Food Not Bombs Free Meal Monday-Thursday (100+ Meals/day)

Workshop and Event Space (Dance, Music, Art, Educational)

Vegetarian Cafe

Screenprinting Studio

Photography Darkroom

Music Room

Radical Literature Distro

While we very much appreciate the support of those who are are able to contribute, we encourage all who believe that food is a human right to support projects close to them that are organizing as communities to stand in solidarity with those who are most vulnerable to the effects of racism, border imperialism, and inaccessibility to healthy food.

Note: This fundraiser is for Tijuana Food Not Bombs and its building, Enclave Caracol, with the goal of further accommodating our kitchen and building for community use. If you wish to make a donation for a specific item (ie, Food Not Bombs, bulk rice, rad books, music equipment) please let us know along with your donation.
